Our Statement of Faith

The Bible

All Scripture is divinely inspired by God, and is the Final Rule for faith and practice. II Tim. 3:16, I Pet. 1:21 I use the King James Version in English and the Reina Valera Gomez in Spanish believing that it is the closest Spanish version to the KJV.

God

One God eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matt. 3:16, 28:19-20, II Cor. 13:14, I Jn. 5:7-8.

Christ

Jesus was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is 100% man and 100% God. Is. 7:14, 9:6, Matt. 1:18-25, Jn. 1:1, 14.

Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, and His shed blood justifies all who believe in Jesus. Jn. 3:16, Rom. 5:1, 6-9, I Tim. 2:5-6.

The crucified body of Jesus was resurrected from the dead, and He ascended into Heaven making intercession for us. Matt. 28:4, I Cor. 14:4, Acts 1:9-11, Rom. 8:34, Heb. 7:25, I Tim. 2:5.

Man

Man was created in the image of God, Adam sinned, and they died both physically and spiritually, necessitating the New Birth. Gen. 1:26, 2:16-17, 3:23-24, Rom. 3:21-28, 5:12, 6:23, Jn. 3:3-7.

Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith. No work of man adds or aids in securing favor with God. Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 3:21-28.

All who Repent of their sins and turn toward God trusting in Jesus by Faith are born of the Spirit. Acts 20:21, Jn. 3:3-5.

All believers are sealed by the Spirit, in the family of God, and eternally secure until the day of redemption. Jn. 10:27-30, 5:24, 6:37, Eph. 1:13-14, 4:30, I Pet. 1:23.

End Times

The personal, pre-millennial return of our Lord is imminent. I Thes. 4:13-5:9.

The bodily resurrection of the just to everlasting conscious bliss and the everlasting destruction of the lost in the Lake of Fire. Rev. 20:11-15, Jn. 5:28-29.

Baptism & Communion

Immersion is the only Scriptural mode of believer’s baptism. Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 8:36-38.

The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of Jesus’ death till He comes. I Cor. 11:23-26.
